Paul Milcetic focuses on patent litigation. He was the lead trial lawyer in TruePosition Inc. v. Andrew Corp. in which a jury not only returned a $45 million patent infringement verdict in favor of the firm’s client, TruePosition, but also rejected a claim that TruePosition had committed fraud in a technological standards setting body. Paul’s closing arguments are quoted in an article entitled “Jury awards $45 million to TruePosition” in the September 15, 2007 Business Section of the Chicago Tribune. Following up on this trial success, Paul argued, again successfully, that a post-EBay permanent injunction should issue against Andrew.

In addition to trying cases, Paul’s work at the earlier stages of patent litigation has also resulted in a consistent string of successes. Paul was an important reason that Microsoft secured a judgment of non-infringement at the district court level in CIVIX-DDI, LLC v. Microsoft Corp., 99-B-172 (D. Colo.), a case relating to on-line mapping capability, and was also an important reason that Microsoft achieved a dismissal in Tornetta v. Microsoft Corporation (E.D. Pa. 98-6283 NJS).

Paul is the author of a book about standards related patent litigation that was published in January 2008 entitled "Technology Patent Infringement Case Strategies." In 2005, Paul was designated a Pennsylvania “Rising Star” by Law and Politics Magazine, an honor bestowed on just 2.5% of Pennsylvania lawyers, and, in 2009, Paul was named a “Pennsylvania Superlawyer.”

Joseph Anthony is one of the founders of Anthony Ostlund Baer & Louwagie P.A. In this exciting interview, he discusses his work in the case of PDG PA v. PDHC Ltd., a major lawsuit in which PDG sued its administrative management company, American Dental Partners (ADP). PDG alleged that, among other things, ADP - headquartered in Wakefield, Massachusetts - was practicing dentistry in Minnesota without a license. PDG further argued that not only was ADP in violation of the Minnesota Dental Practice Act because it was acting as the manager, proprietor, or operator of a place where dental operations are performed, but also that the ADP clinical employees lacked direct dentist supervision. PDG also claimed that ADP began firing clinical and non-clinical staff that the PDG dentists wished to retain and hiring replacements without consulting the PDG dentists.

Joseph is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Third and Eighth Circuits, United States District Court for the District of Minnesota and the Supreme Court of the State of Minnesota. He began practicing in 1974 and for 10 years was a partner with the law firm of Larkin, Hoffman, Daly & Lindgren, Ltd. in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1985, he founded Fruth & Anthony, P.A. as a litigation boutique specializing in business litigation with an emphasis on financial fraud, securities, anti-trust and commercial real estate litigation. In May 2001, the name of the firm was changed to Anthony Ostlund & Baer, P.A. and in 2009, changed to Anthony Ostlund Baer & Louwagie P.A. In 2007, Joseph was selected as one of Minnesota Lawyer’s "Attorneys of the Year.” For many years, he has been designated by his peers as a "Super Lawyer” and in 2002, elected as a Fellow to The American College of Trial Lawyers. Joseph has also been elected to the International Academy of Trial Lawyers and serves as President of the Minneapolis chapter of the International Network of Boutique Law Firms (“INBLF”) and on the Board of the Fund for the Legal Aid Society.

Roger Clark is the founding member and managing partner of Clark, Goldberg & Madruga www.clarkgoldberg.com. In his more than 25 years practicing law, Roger has earned a national reputation as a successful trial attorney representing insurers, cable television providers, and small and large businesses in a broad range of business litigation matters. “My philosophy has always been that the attorneys in this law firm must be prepared not just to ‘litigate’ a case, but to try it before a judge or jury, while at the same time keeping the client’s goals and objectives squarely within our sights.” Roger is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating that can be bestowed upon an attorney.
