Nancy L. Lanard experience has included general corporate and real estate counseling (including negotiating and drafting contracts, handling the purchase and sale of businesses, and representing businesses in the buying, selling, developing, managing, and leasing of real estate); assistance with hiring, firing, promoting and managing employees and the issues surrounding those actions; preparing financing documentation; advising on Federal regulations; and drafting and negotiating documentation for the sale and acquisition of franchises, including preparing Uniform Franchise Offering Circulars and franchise agreements.

Nancy grew up in the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, area where she was a magna cum laude graduate from the University of Pennsylvania in 1974 and received her graduate degree with honors from the same institution in 1975. In 1978 she graduated from Villanova University School of Law where she was in the top ten percent of her law school class and was selected to be on the Law Review.

Peter Beinart is a Schwartz Senior Fellow at the New America Foundation, and Associate Professor of Journalism and Political Science at The City University of New York. He is also Senior Political Writer for The Daily Beast, and a Contributor to Time. In this interview, he discusses his book, The Good Fight: Why Liberals – And Only Liberals – Can Win the War on Terror, he rightly notes a core irony: President Bush stripped away the restraints on the exercise of America's freedom to act because he wanted to demonstrate America's strength; he has thereby made American power illegitimate in the eyes of much of the world, which has made us weak. The Good Fight may not provide all the answers on how to fashion a durable foreign policy vision for the very real dangers we face, but it provides us with a fine place to start.

Peter has appeared on NBC's "Meet the Press," ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos," "Charlie Rose," "The McLaughlin Group," "The Colbert Report," MTV, CNN, Fox, MSNBC and many other television and radio programs. He graduated from Yale University in 1993, winning a Rhodes scholarship for graduate study at Oxford University. After graduating from University College, Oxford with an M.Phil in International Relations, Peter became The New Republic's managing editor in 1995. He became senior editor in 1997, and from 1999 to 2006 served as the magazine's Editor. Beinart was a Senior Fellow at the Council on Foreign Relations from 2007 to 2009.
