Skip Finkbohner is a highly distinguished attorney who has been lead and co-lead counsel in numerous multimillion-dollar jury verdicts and recoveries in cases of industrial accident, products liability, medical negligence, automobile and trucking accidents, insurance fraud and environmental pollution. One such trial, which resulted in a $192 million verdict, involved Sven Mannsfeld. Skip represented Sven, who had conceived an idea in the late 1990s, not long before he retired from the chemical field, of using hazardous waste materials as building products in the manufacture of items such as tires. In 2004, Skip argued, Sven came to realize that the defendants were using his idea and had even devised patents for the process in Germany, Belgium, the European Union and the United States. Sven filed suit in June 2006 against Ineos Americas LLC and Ineos Phenol, to recover compensation for his idea.

Since 1996, Skip has been certified as a Civil Trial Specialist by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is a member of the Mobile County Bar Association (2000 Chairman of the Civil Practice Committee and Vice-Chairman in 1999), the Alabama State Bar, the Alabama Association for Justice (Executive Committee), the South Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice. He is listed as one of the top plaintiff attorneys in the state of Alabama by Super Lawyers magazine, is listed in Best Lawyers in America, and in 2001 was inducted into the McGill-Toolen Catholic High School Hall of Fame. Skip graduated from Duke University (magna cum laude) in 1983 and received his law degree from Duke University in 1986.

Michael Gilfix is a nationally known authority in the field of law, aging and estate planning. A 1973 graduate of Stanford Law School, he is a Fellow of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), a co-founder of NAELA, and a Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust and Probate Law. He discusses the crucially important issue of financial elder abuse, which targets the most vulnerable among us. Michael also regularly addresses this topic – and others – among professional audiences, including attorneys, physicians, certified public accountants, and financial planners, nationally as well as locally.

An entrepreneur in the legal field, Michael created the first legal aid program for elders in 1973. He served as Executive Director of that program, Senior Adults Legal Assistance (SALA) of Santa Clara County, for ten years. In 1983 he created the law firm that is today known as Gilfix & La Poll Associates LLP.  He has been a principal speaker for numerous trust and tax symposia at the national level, including the Center for Judicial Education, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) the New York University Tax Institute, and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). A highly respected practitioner and a prolific author, Michael is also co-author of Tax, Estate & Financial Planning for the Elderly: Forms and Practice (Matthew Bender) and is the principal author of Medi-Cal and Asset Preservation, a book- length set of materials for practicing attorneys. He regularly contributes to a wide variety of legal journals such as Trusts and Estates Magazine, where his writings have discussed the role of personal values in estate planning, life care communities, and asset preservation planning. He holds an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, as judged by his peers in the legal profession. This rating, the highest given "... reflects an attorney who has reached the heights of professional excellence, ... has practiced law for many years, and is recognized for the highest levels of skill and integrity."

Roger Clarkis the founding member and managing partner of Clark, Goldberg & Madruga www.clarkgoldberg.com. In his more than 25 years practicing law, Roger has earned a national reputation as a successful trial attorney representing insurers, cable television providers, and small and large businesses in a broad range of business litigation matters. “My philosophy has always been that the attorneys in this law firm must be prepared not just to ‘litigate’ a case, but to try it before a judge or jury, while at the same time keeping the client’s goals and objectives squarely within our sights.” Roger is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating that can be bestowed upon an attorney.
