Bruce Schultz is a highly distinguished attorney who began his career as a trial lawyer in Madison, Wisconsin, in 1978. In this exciting interview, Bruce discusses his work in the case of Industrial Risk Insurers v. HK Systems, Inc., a major products liability case in which it was claimed that steel tubes supplied by Leavitt Tube Co. and used by HK as columns were incomplete and defective because Leavitt improperly welded and inspected the tubes at its Chicago-based tube mill. After firefighters extinguished the three-week blaze resulting from these events, various inspectors examined the debris and marked any parts, material or fragments to preserve and placed in an open field. Cleanup efforts lasted for several months, and attorneys for the plaintiff pursued causes of action involving defective design and breach of contract.
For more than 20 years Bruce has also tried cases in circuit courts throughout the state and in the federal courts in both the Eastern and Western Districts of Wisconsin. He has handled appeals in the state appellate and supreme courts, as well as the 7th Circuit. Bruce has tried a multitude of personal injury and wrongful death lawsuits involving motor vehicles, premises liability, construction accidents, products liability, electrocutions, electrical contact and gas explosions.

Carl Bettinger has litigated hundreds of personal injury, medical malpractice and nursing home neglect claims, and holds the two largest personal injury verdicts in New Mexico, one ($54 million) in 2007 and the second ($54.1 million) in 2009. In this compelling interview, Carl discusses his role in the case of Estate of Barber v. ManorCare, Inc., in which lawyers for the plaintiff argued that a nursing-home resident's gastrointestinal bleeding was not spotted, resulting in death.
Carl is also an invited speaker across the country on nursing home claims. Carl is a 2002 graduate of Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College and has been on the teaching staff since 2003. He currently serves as an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of New Mexico School of Law, where he teaches trial practice.

Roger Clark is the founding member and managing partner of Clark, Goldberg & Madruga www.clarkgoldberg.com. In his more than 25 years practicing law, Roger has earned a national reputation as a successful trial attorney representing insurers, cable television providers, and small and large businesses in a broad range of business litigation matters. “My philosophy has always been that the attorneys in this law firm must be prepared not just to ‘litigate’ a case, but to try it before a judge or jury, while at the same time keeping the client’s goals and objectives squarely within our sights.” Roger is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating that can be bestowed upon an attorney.
