Clark O. Brewster has established himself as one of the preeminent Trial Lawyers in the Southwest garnering a national reputation among trial attorneys. He has litigated cases in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Kansas, New Mexico, New York and Texas. He is one of the youngest lawyers ever to receive the highest rating afforded by Martindale-Hubbell (AV) and is acknowledged by his peers as one of the best.  He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America 2002-03 Edition. In this informative and exciting interview, he discusses a case where an Oklahoma jury ordered Shell Oil Co. to pay $66 million to five royalty owners (several of them deceased) for their share of a lucrative oil well dug in the early-1970s. The payments will go to two families who owned the land where Shell drilled for oil but were never informed when the company struck a huge reserve and built a well on the land in 1973.

Clark’s ability to communicate with jurors and argue his cases persuasively has also brought clients multi-million dollar verdicts in complex medical malpractice, personal injury and commercial litigation cases. In carefully selected criminal cases where he appears as an advocate for a person accused, Clark has further established a well-earned reputation as a steeled criminal defense attorney willing to aggressively challenge prosecuting authorities.  Poised in the media intense case, he has received acquittals in numerous high profile cases including: State of Oklahoma v. James Hogue, State of Oklahoma v. Jamie Nicole Chambers, United States of America v. Carol Howe, United States of America v. Harold Staples and State of Oklahoma v. Charles Elliot.

Clark's expertise as a trial attorney has caused his peers to consult him regularly in preparation of complex civil and criminal cases. Over the years, Clark has been sought out as a lecturer to attorneys on numerous subjects such as presenting expert witnesses, jury selection, trying medical malpractice cases and high profile cases.  He presently serves as an adjunct professor of law at the University of Tulsa Law School where he teaches the subject of evidence.

Clark graduated cum laude from Central Michigan University in 1977 with a Bachelor of Science. After graduation he moved with his family to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1980 where he graduated with honors as a member of the Order of the Curule Chair, the highest academic award bestowed by the law school, the Order of Barristers and Phi Delta Phi. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Oklahoma Bar Association and the Tulsa County Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Trial Lawyers Association and the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association where he served as statewide president in 1998.
