Kelli Stanley is the distinguished author of the critically acclaimed Nox Dormienda, which won the Bruce Alexander Award for best historical mystery and was nominated for a Macavity Award. In this exciting interview she discusses her latest novel, City of Dragons.

In San Francisco's Chinatown, fireworks explode as the city celebrates Chinese New Year with a Rice Bowl Party, a three day-and-night carnival designed to raise money and support for China war relief. Miranda Corbie is a 33-year-old private investigator who stumbles upon the fatally shot body of Eddie Takahashi. The Chamber of Commerce wants it covered up. The cops acquiesce. All Miranda wants is justice--whatever it costs. From Chinatown tenements, to a tattered tailor's shop in Little Osaka, to a high-class bordello draped in Southern Gothic, she shakes down the city--her city--seeking the truth. City of Dragons is a sprawling, visceral novel of San Francisco in 1940, a world of race wars and class wars, a world in which sexual threat is as casual as a five-cent cigar. It is also a beautiful world … of hats and neon nightclubs, Harry James and Chesterfields, of a World’s Fair ready to reopen in just three short months. It’s Miranda’s world. And she’ll die to protect the good in it.

Bryce Zabel is a CNN correspondent-turned-writer/producer who saw both a miniseries and a film produced in 2009. He has several projects in active development in 2010, including one with long-time friend and Marvel legend Stan Lee.
In this exciting interview, Bryce discusses UFOs and the National Security State, part of a detailed chronological narrative of the national security dimensions of the UFO phenomenon from 1941 to the present. Referencing work by Richard Dolan, Bruce talks about the American military and intelligence communities, and how they take UFOs seriously indeed.

Included in this volume are the activities of more than fifty military bases relating to UFOs, innumerable violations of sensitive airspace by unknown craft and analyses of the Roswell controversy, the CIA-sponsored Robertson Panel, and the Condon Committee Report. Dolan highlights the development of civilian anti-secrecy movements, which flourished in the 1950s and 1960s until the adoption of an official government policy and subsequent "closing of the door" during the Nixon administration. From the Roswell controversy to the CIA-sponsored Robertson Panel, and the Condon Committee Report, there have also been civilian anti-secrecy movements to uncover the truth about UFOs and aliens.

Roger Clark is the founding member and managing partner of Clark, Goldberg & Madruga www.clarkgoldberg.com. In his more than 25 years practicing law, Roger has earned a national reputation as a successful trial attorney representing insurers, cable television providers, and small and large businesses in a broad range of business litigation matters. “My philosophy has always been that the attorneys in this law firm must be prepared not just to ‘litigate’ a case, but to try it before a judge or jury, while at the same time keeping the client’s goals and objectives squarely within our sights.” Roger is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating that can be bestowed upon an attorney.
